I’m Choosing Presence Over Busyness

Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about how being busy has become a badge of honour. The fuller your calendar, the more validated you seem. But here’s the thing, I don’t want to wear that badge.

I run a creative business and marketing studio (that I love), Go To Studio, and I’m also a mum to three small children: a 3.5-year-old and 1-year-old twins. Life is full, beautiful, chaotic, challenging, and deeply meaningful. But busy? That word doesn’t feel right anymore.

I don’t want to wear “busy” like it proves something. I want to choose presence over pressure. I want to build a business that allows room for creativity, connection, and being there when it matters most.

So if you’re feeling the same tug, consider this your reminder: you don’t need to be “busy” to be doing enough.
You already are enough.
